Head Teacher’s welcome

As Head Teacher of Wyvern Academy, I am delighted to welcome you to our website. Whether you are a student, prospective employee, parent or visitor, we hope you get a sense of what it means to be part of Wyvern Academy and our vision for the future.

We recognise that choosing a school for your child is perhaps the most important decision a Head Teacherparent or carer makes. With that in mind, our aim is to provide you with as much information as possible to help you make an informed choice about your child’s education.

The school website is a very important tool which allows us to share and celebrate the amazing activities that take place at Wyvern Academy.

It is also a platform to provide information about our various policies, practice and procedures, as well as providing regular updated information for parents and learners.

Wyvern Academy is at a very significant stage in its exciting journey. While building on existing strengths, we intend to enhance and develop all aspects of our student’s educational experience to give them the best possible life chance.

While aiming to secure academic success for our students is of paramount importance, we believe it is equally important to equip our young people with life skills, so that they can confidently take a rewarding, active and fulfilling place in society.

Our school is more than a place where students learn – it’s a place where students grow and a place where students are encouraged to follow their dreams and share their unique talents in a safe and supportive environment.

At Wyvern Academy we believe that high ambition for every young person is a right and endeavour to shape hearts and minds so that our young people can go out and shape the greatness of society.

Finally, our website is only a glimpse of what we feel makes Wyvern Academy distinctive. The best way for you to appreciate what we can offer your child is to experience our school first hand. I do hope you will visit us to meet our students and staff and to experience life at our unique school.

Best wishes

Mo Wilkinson
